Born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia, Chef OJ brings a beautifully blended yet calculated offering of flavors to the culinary scene in Richmond, Virginia. While attending Virginia Commonwealth University as a double major in Psychology and African American Studies, he unexpectedly developed a passion for food that has remained dominant in his life since 2015.

From working his way up through the culinary ranks of being hired as a temporary cook to becoming a full-time employee at Omni Richmond Hotels & Resorts, his desire for wanting to become the best has capitulated him to making a name for himself in the Richmond community as well as previously holding the Sous Chef position at Uptown Alley Richmond in Midlothian. With catering events for large groups of people, providing private dining experiences for couples and offering meal prep services for customers, it is his passion for wanting to provide both joy and a healthy lifestyle to anyone and everyone he offers his services to.
